metropolis, the great german silent movie by fritz lang. for more than seven decades, a quarter of the film was presumed to be missing. and here, in a forgotten museum in buenos aires, surrounded by warehouses and factories, a copy of the film which was 30 minutes longer than any other surviving copy was discovered. a world sensation.
